Tattoo Artist
Duties and responsibilities: A Tattoo artist traditionally earns the title by completing an apprenticeship under strict guidelines from an experienced senior tattoo artist. Apprentices are generally expected to be excellent at drawing, with an ability to excel at customizing design ideas and genres, as well as various other styles of art in general.
Salary: $22,097 - $31,567
Education: Aspiring tattoo artists should possess great artistic ability and creativity. Before an artist can obtain an apprenticeship working in a shop, he or she needs to compile a professional portfolio exhibiting his or her best works of art. The portfolio should showcase the artist's versatility and ability to draw a variety of subjects. A portfolio can contain both original works and high-quality photographs of drawings.
