The field includes medical diagnosis and treatment of congenital heart defects, coronary artery disease, heart failure, valvular heart disease and electrophysiology. Physicians who specialize in this field of medicine are called cardiologists

Education: First, an aspiring cardiologist must have a bachelor's degree in order to get into medical school. The most logical pre-med bachelor degrees include courses in chemistry, mathematics, engineering or psychology. Then one must gain a passing score on the MCAT (Medical College Admission test.)

Synonyms: acquiescence, conformity, deference.

Example: The dogs must be mild mannered, know basic obedience commands, and meeting new people. 


911 Memorial

Duties and Responsibilties: Careers in emergency medical service dispatching can be rewarding and fast-paced ways to get involved in the medical field without a lot of training, expensive medical degrees, and exposure to dangerous situations. EMS dispatchers are often the first involved when an emergency incident is reported to 911 and are an essential part of the emergency medical services chain that connects the emergency to the service providers as quickly as possible.
