Registered Dietitian 

Duties and responsibilities: A Registered Dietitian is a food and nutrition expert who has met the minimum academic and professional requirements to qualify for the credential "RD." The majority of RDs work in the treatment and prevention of disease (administering medical nutrition therapy, often part of medical teams), in hospitals, HMOs, private practice or other health-care facilities. In addition, a large number of RDs work in community and public health settings and academia and research. A growing number of RDs work in the food and nutrition industry, in business, journalism, sports nutrition, and corporate wellness programs.
Salary:Median $56,813 
Education: 
  • Completed a minimum of a bachelor’s degree at a US regionally accredited university or college and course work accredited or approved by the Accreditation Council for Education in Nutrition and Dietetics (ACEND) of the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics.
  • Completed an ACEND-accredited supervised practice program at a health-care facility, community agency, or a foodservice corporation or combined with undergraduate or graduate studies. Typically, a practice program will run six to 12 months in length.
  • Passed a national examination administered by the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR). For more information regarding the examination, refer to CDR’s website at www.cdrnet.org.

                                       In this project mt topic was should genetically modified food be sold to consumers this topic was not hard at all and i actually got to learn a lot about this topic i got to learn that genetically modified food is really bad of us consumers it could give us cancer that something no one wants also it could damage your DNA that's really bad of us to i was really unhappy that the farmers put weed killers in our food and they will still give it to us even if its really bad of us they really don't care about our health.When i was up in front of all the people i was not nerves i answered all the questions that the people had and i was really happy that my group got a three out of four i was really happy cause this was my first time i did this project and talked to people that i don't know i think i felt saved cause my family was there and they all had smiles in there faces so i think my group and i did a really good job.v
