when the lady gave her food the the homeless guy i think that was really kind of her to do that cause the guy might of been really hungry and he did not have money but the lady did have money so she could of go and buy another one.

Thanksgiving

Thanksgiving Day is a national holiday celebrated primarily in the United States and Canada as a day of giving thanks for the blessing of the harvest and of the preceding year. Several other places around the world observe similar celebrations. It is celebrated on the fourth Thursday of November in the United States and on the second Monday of October in Canada. Thanksgiving has its historical roots in religious and cultural traditions, and has long been celebrated in a secular manner as well. Thanksgiving, currently celebrated on the fourth Thursday in November by federal legislation in 1941, has been an annual tradition in the United States by presidential proclamation since 1863 and by state legislation since the Founding Fathers of the United States. Historically, Thanksgiving has traditionally been a celebration of the blessings of the (agricultural) year, including the harvest.

Dental Assistant

Duties and Responsibilities: Dental Assistants assist the dental operator (dentist or other treating dental auxiliary) in providing more efficient dental treatment, by preparing the patient for treatment, sterilizing instruments, passing instruments during the procedure, holding suction devices, exposing dental radiographs, taking impressions, and fabricating provisional crowns. Dental operators can focus more time on the procedure; the dental assistant then effectively becomes the operator's extra hands.

Salary: $23,550 to $47,580

Education: It takes a relatively short period of time to become a dental assistant. Dental assistants receive their formal education through academic programs at community colleges, vocational schools, technical institutes, universities or dental schools. Graduates of these programs usually receive certificates.

Dental Lab Technician

Duties and Responsibilities: Dental Laboratory Technology is both a science and an art. Since each dental patient's needs are different, the duties of a dental laboratory technician are comprehensive and varied. Although dental technicians seldom work directly with patients, except under the direction of a licensed dentist, they are valuable members of the dental care team.

Salary: $15.00 an hour

Education: The minimum education requirements for  dental  laboratory  technicians is a high school diploma or equivalent. Students interested in this field of work should focus their high school studies on math, science, information technology, wood shop and art. Many individuals learn how to become dental laboratory technicians through on-the-job training and by moving up through experience.

I would like to be a dental lab cause it looks pretty cool job to do.

Veterans Day

On the 11th hour of the 11th day of the 11th month of 1918, an armistice, or temporary cessation of hostilities, was declared between the Allied nations and Germany in the First World War, then known as “the Great War.” Commemorated as Armistice Day beginning the following year, November 11th became a legal federal holiday in the United States in 1938. In the aftermath of World War II and the Korean War, Armistice Day became Veterans Day, a holiday dedicated to American veterans of all wars. The day’s observation included parades and public gatherings, as well as a brief pause in business activities at 11 a.m. On November 11, 1921, an unidentified American soldier killed in the war was buried at Arlington National Cemetery in Washington D.C.; the U.S. Congress had declared the day a legal federal holiday in honor of all those who participated in the war.

   

Reflection: My feelings about Veterans Day is that we should all be thankful for all the veterans that fight for us, and that need to leave their families for a long time, and risk their lives just so they can fight for all of us.

Dance/Movement Therapist

Duties and responsibilities: Based on the empirically supported premise that the body, mind and spirit are interconnected, the American Dance Therapy Association defines dance/movement therapy as the psychotherapeutic use of movement to further the emotional, cognitive, physical and social integration of the individual.

Salary: $40,000-$50,000 a year

Education:  Drexel University’s 2-year Master’s Program in Dance/Movement Therapy  is approved by the American Dance Therapy Association (ADTA).

Reflection: I would not like to be this could I don’t like dance around people.
